Caribbean Stud Poker is a very simple casino card game found in most casinos. Like all other casino games, the house has an edge in this one as well. This means that you can not win in the long run (you will lose all your money, if you play long enough), there-for you should only play it with money you can afford to lose and only play it for fun.
That being said, here are the rules (although they may differ a bit depending where you play):
Every player first posts an ante (a fixed bet).
The dealer deals out five cards to each player and to himself. All player cards are dealt face up and one of the dealers cards is also face up (four of his cards are face down).
The players then have two options:
After all players make their decision, it's time for the showdown. The dealer revels his face down cards and everyone can check whether or not they beat his hand (hand rankings or hand strengths are the same as in regular poker). There are a few possible outcomes for each player:
In addition to this reward, most casinos also have a special, optional, jackpot. You can participate in this by placing an additional "jackpot bet" and then, if you have a flush or better, you win part of the jackpot (qualifying hands may differ between casinos).
That's it, simple and sweet:)
